Thank you for your interest in joining Dragon Badminton Club and the Badminton Performance Group. We are a welcoming badminton club offering opportunities to play and train at different levels, from beginners through to competitive and performance players. To help us place you in the most suitable sessions and provide the right support, we ask you to complete the following form with as much detail as possible. The questions below are designed to help us understand your playing level, experience, and requirements before you join, ensuring that we can accommodate you properly and deliver the best possible badminton experience. If at any point you are unsure about a question, do not understand part of the form, or feel that something important is missing, please contact us straight away and we will be happy to help. Please note that membership and session access are subject to the club’s decision. Signing up does not automatically guarantee membership. All applicants are required to attend a trial session with the Badminton Performance Group at a cost of £12. After the trial, if the applicant meets the standard levels for Dragon Badminton — high-level on Tuesdays or intermediate/open on Wednesdays — they will be eligible to join these sessions. For those who do not meet the required level, we offer alternative sessions through No-Strings sessions and Thursday night club sessions, as well as training programmes with the Badminton Performance Group to help players reach their objectives. We encourage all applicants to assess their current level as accurately as possible before booking a trial. While we seek high-level players who can represent the club in leagues, we are committed to providing opportunities and support for all players, ensuring no one is left behind.

Join us on Spond

Select *All players wishing to join Dragon Badminton or Badminton Performance Group must complete the required registration form and register on Spond. Spond is the official platform used to access and sign up for training sessions, track attendance and performance, and manage all session participation. Registration on Spond is mandatory, as all training sessions, assessments, and ongoing participation must be booked and managed exclusively through this platform. In addition, players are required to book and attend a coached training assessment session at Badminton Performance Group, where a qualified coach will assess the player’s abilities to determine whether they meet the criteria required to join Dragon Badminton. Access to training sessions, events, and competitive activities will only be granted once all requirements have been completed.
