WHO WE ARE
Dragon Badminton Club is an inclusive community-based club in Birmingham, offering weekly sessions and local league opportunities for players of all levels. Alongside the club, the Badminton Performance Group (BPG) provides structured training for players who want to develop and improve their badminton.
We support the growth of badminton by following the development principles set by Badminton England, ensuring our programmes meet recognised standards while remaining focused on community, progression, and enjoyment.
We welcome everyone, from those taking their first steps on court to experienced players looking for competitive opportunities. Our goal is to build a strong community and help more people enjoy and progress in badminton.

Our mission is simple: to get more people in Birmingham playing badminton, making the sport accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability.
We provide inclusive, well-structured sessions in a supportive environment where players can develop their skills, gain confidence, and enjoy the game. We bring together experienced organisers, coaches, and volunteers who are passionate about delivering high-quality badminton sessions and training programmes.

TRAINING PATHWAY
The Badminton Performance Group (BPG) is the training and development pathway within Dragon Badminton Club. It offers structured coaching for juniors and adults of all levels who want to improve their badminton in a focused and supportive environment.
- Sessions for juniors (7+ years old) and adults (all levels, up to 60 years old).
- Delivered by specialist coaches.
- Performance-focused development.
TRIALS & CLUB PATHWAY
To ensure the right level of play and development, Dragon Badminton Club operates a trial system for players wishing to join our main club sessions.
- Players who meet the required standard are invited to join the club sessions.
- Players who are not yet at that level are encouraged to continue their development through the Badminton Performance Group, or our non-strings and development-friendly sessions.
